== Background ==
In 2035, following the nukes, the [[Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic]] faced an onslaught from the [[Republic of Russia]] and the crumbling Russian Federation, during the [[2nd Russian Revolution|Second Russian Revolution]]. He was only kept alive thanks to the [[Union of Russia]] seeking to keep him as a buffer against the [[Republic of Russia]] in the northeast. Now reduced to a pathetic rumpstate, armed only with an army of 100 000 and a dream of reunifying the Soviet Union, the [[Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic|Russian SFSR]] hoped to expand in any way possible in order to gain back his lost power.
