As the war was going poorly for the Union of Russia, he threatened the Republic with launching his entire nuclear arsenal against him. He responded by threatening to nuke the Union of Russia himself with his own nuclear arsenal (Which had actually been stolen by the [[Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic|RSFSR]] at some point earlier). As they stared each other down and Tatarstan and Chuvashia advanced on both fronts, [[Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic|RSFSR]] dropped a nuke on the Republic of Russia, making it look like the Union of Russia was the one who did it. With both the Union and the Republic confused, they agreed to a truce on the southern front.
