Editing Tatarstan

Tatarstan, officially the Islamic National Republic of Tatarstan, is an autocratic state along the Kama river, stretching from Kazan to Leninogorsk.

Tatarstan is an introverted, serious, loyal, honored focused warrior who prefers to get things done rather than joke around. He does not have a lot of friends (only one being [[Chuvashia]]) but the friends he does have he will fight and die for. As of 2086 he has population of 1.8 million and an army of 800 000, which is about as large as all of his allies combined.

In 2034 democratic Tatarstan declared independence from the Russian Federation during the [[Second Russian Revolution]] only to be immediately squashed and put down. It wasn't until the nukes was dropped during the Russian Apocalypse one year later that he gained proper independence, this time as an autocratic nationalist regime. The nukes killed approximantely three quarters of his population and even after the Russian Federation had fallen his devestated forces still had to clash with the [[Republic of Russia]] in a battle as well.

This rough and dishonorable start made him adopt a "me against the world" mentality, as he raised a large army to take back his lost lands from his neighbors, including his former capital Kazan. In 2037 Tatarstan declared war on [[Chuvashia]] but was unable to cross the Kama river after [[Chuvashia]] blew the two bridges crossing it. After negotiations with [[Chuvashia]] the two of them would honor their favorable relations from back in 1917 and draw the border along the Kama river until [[Chuvashia]] could retake his old lands from the [[Union of Russia]] as Tatarstan would then get back his claim over Kazan.

Tatarstan would obstain from joining the Federal Union of the Urals in 2038 due to his bad relations with most of its members and later that year he would fight of an attemted invasion from the [[Union of Russia]] and with his morale bolstered following his victory he would join the [[Republic of Russia]] in his war against the Ural Republic, in order to secure more border lands. In the following decades Tatarstan spent his time on strengthening his military and growing his population, only fighting out a minor skirmish with [[Bashkortostan]] in 2059 over their official borders going through the radioactive wasteland on their border.

By 2071 Tatarstan had grown tired of waiting for  [[Chuvashia|Chuvashia's]] promised invasion of the [[Union of Russia]], who claimed he was unable to do it due to the required river crossing. In response to this Tatarstan offered to help and launch a diversonary  attack in the [[Union of Russia|UR's]] undersupplied south to draw away attention from [[Chuvashia]]. To the surprise of everyone this diversionary attack worked incedibly well and the [[Republic of Russia]] soon rushed to secure the remainder of the [[Union of Russia|Union of Russia's]] underdefended southeast before Tatarstan could get it. Tatarstan would spend the rest of the war figthing alongside [[Chuvashia]] against pretty much all of their neighbors with the exception of [[Udmurtia]]. Following the wars deescalation in 2074 Tatarstan had both gotten back Kazan and gotten [[Chuvashia]] as an ally and friend as their alliance nowadays known as the "Uralic Entente" had been made official.

In 2079 [[Chuvashia]] successfully invited [[Udmurtia]] to the Uralic Entente, following the [[Republic of Russia]] casually revealing their plans on annexing [[Udmurtia]], like they had previously done with the [[Ural Republic]], Kirov Republic and [[Bashkortostan]]. To this Tatarstan reluctantly accepted but mostly due to [[Chuvashia]]'s insistance, mentioning it feeling weird to now be protecting his neghbors with the very army he once made to conquer them.

Upon the start of the [[3rd Russian Revolution|Third Russian Revolution]] in 2085 the Uralic Entente decided to start aiding the [[Union of Russia]]'s seperatist rebels, seeking to weaken their rival. Following the [[Republic of Russia]]'s intervention later that year, [[Chuvashia]] joined the war in attempt to the rest of their ethnic lands, thus clashing with the Erzyan rebels in the region. The border dispute would remain unsolved but in January of 2086 [[Chuvashia]] would leave the war after having annexed most of his claimed lands.
