It wasn't until the nukes was dropped during the Russian Apocalypse one year later that he gained proper independence, this time as an autocratic nationalist regime. In 2034 democratic Tatarstan declared independence from the Russian Federation during the Second Russian Revolution only to be immediately squashed and put down. It wasn't until the nukes was dropped during the Russian Apocalypse one year later that he gained proper independence, this time as an autocratic nationalist regime. The nukes killed approximantely three quarters of his population and even after the Russian Federation had fallen his devestated forces still had to clash with the Republic of Russia in a battle as well.
