==== Fall of the Annihilists ====
In the unusually humid winter of 2091 the Spaniards of Despair tried to make a last stand at their capital of Léon, however their forces arrived too late and the battle was over before it even began. Infernal Iberia and [[Portugal]] reached the northern coast not long after and after having encirled a few divisions in Galicia, the Portugese would occuy the region. Despite [[Portugal]] officially being at war with Infernal Iberia, only minor border clashes would take place over the course of the war, presumably because [[Portugal]] feared meeting a similar fate as the Spaniards of Despair, had he tried. After the fall of Léon the last remaining forces of the annihilists retreated the the city of Burgos, which had briefly been the capital of Francoist Spain during the first Spanish Civil War. With the state of their army however, they got brutally defeated by Infernal Iberia, who burned the city, killing up to 60 % of its inhabitants. After this, the Spaniards of Despair surrendered and Basque declared peace.
